Tzedakah
Tzedakah
Tzedakah is a wonderful mitzvah (or good deed), which is the act of giving something to the needy. You can give anything to do tzedakah like clothes, money, toys, food, and even time. In fact, almost any object given to the needy is tzedakah. For example, every Friday night most Jews donate money to the needy. There are many people who would beg for some of the objects we just throw away. So next time you’re throwing away a good piece of fruit, think, maybe I should do tzedakah and give this fruit to the needy.
